In the Dragon Neck Coliseum, during the World of Ruin, you meet a familiar face.
“Hey, it’s Ultros – oh no, not again!”
Relax. Ultros’ fighting days are over. Now he works as a receptionist in the Coliseum (a fittingly weird end to a weird boss).
Me, the great and noble Ultros, reduced to working as a receptionist in this stinkin’ Coliseum! *sob*…
I guess he’s been “Ul-trolled”.
So we don’t have to worry about him anymore. Although, you might have to face his friend, Typhoon…
Oh yeah… You’d better not bet any cheap cray, or Mr. Typhin’ll hafta come’nteach ya a lesson!
We learn from an NPC that Ultros accumilated so much debt that he’d be there for a million of years.
Oh, Ultros at the front desk? He couldn’t pay off his debt, so I put him to work as a receptionist. I figure it’ll take him about a hundred years to work it all off…
How did that happen?
It might have something to do with the fact that he trashed the Opera House. During the Draco and Maria play, Ultros decides to drop a weight on Celes. It fails as Locke and the others beat Ultros to the punch. They, and Ultros fall off the rafters and nearly spoil the show. We save the show by a little bit of improvisation, but Ultros intends to ruin this too…by attempting to EAT THE RETURNERS!
Ultros loses this fight and eventually escapes. But how much do you want to bet that the Impressario tracked him down to pay off his debt?
