A former superstar, his bold words and confident mannerisms conceal the deep love he holds for his family.—Dissidia 012 description
A former blitzball star, and Tidus’s father. His surly and rough-spoken nature belie a much gentler heart.—Dissidia Final Fantasy description
Jecht. Tidus’s drunk and irresponsible father. Of course, it wasn’t his fault. Upon arriving to Spira, he becomes Sin.
In World B, Jecht concerns himself with the well-being of his son, not Chaos’ plans. He’s similar to Golbez in this sense. However, he’s far less likely to scheme and help the Cosmo’s Warriors; at times, he’ll make deals with the Emperor to ensure his safety:
Emperor: “If Cosmos is given an absolute death, the cycle will break, and the world will be ours…”
Jecht: “And if I fight him, things’ll go back to the way they were before?”
Emperor: “Things will ‘go’ however we will them.”
Jecht: “And the boy… We can both go home?”
Emperor: “Yes…that is a promise.”
But during the 12th cycle, he arrived at World B on Cosmo’s side. Does this mean she called him during his time as Sin? Or was he called sometime en route with Braska and Auron?
As for the 13th cycle, Chaos probably summoned Jecht to World B during his time as Sin.
