It’s a fan-made photoshop for the XBOX console. Still, Square Enix will release it. Why?
C’mon…of course they will.
mustwill not be forgotten.
When will Square Enix release them?
- 2018 – Final Fantasy XIII, remastered.
- 2019 – 10th year anniversary. Final Fantasy XIII will have two sequels: Final Fantasy XIII-2 and Lightning Returns: Final Fantasy XIII. On three discs in a collectors’ box set with other Final Fantasy XIII paraphernalia.
Why do I think this? They’re a business. They could try to put everything on one disc and diminish its graphical quality, just for us – the fans. But they might never justify the $49.99 tag, for a one time sale, to their investors. Square Enix work to make money for their investors, not approval from their fans. Fans’ll buy it anyways.
They know most people will get Final Fantasy XIII the original; it’s perfect as a standalone game as it is. It would be perfect for a $49.99 tag. But fans will pay extra for the entire set. Percentage-wise, the people who come back after purchasing the first game. They’ll want the collector’s box set of the entire one. In a years times, I’m sure they’ll get the money to purchase three games for the price of one. Either $59.99 or $69.99, considering on how well Final Fantasy XIII sells.
My example? They’ve put the PSX Final Fantasy VII for sale on PS4 in 2014. Now they’re remaking it. The Day One edition of Final Fantasy VII will be just the remake. The Limited Edition will contain the original game as well, along with booklets, pictures and ~~plastic crap~~ a limited edition Cloud Strife kai figure.
Now, of course, Square Enix could wait until 2019 (for the 10th year anniversary). They could release:
- Final Fantasy XIII: Day One edition
- Final Fantasy XIII: Limited Edition (Final Fantasy XIII along with Final Fantasy XIII-2 and Lightning Returns: Final Fantasy XIII)
This way, when they announce the new PS5, they’ll have something to sell to this new generation console.
Along with Final Fantasy XVI…
