Whether or not they exist in the real world, we can see a few parallels:
The “Sabbatic Goat” contains binary elements representing the “sum total of the universe”, reminiscent of how Ardyn absorbed the Starscourge into his own body.
We can also see Ifrit (a class of infernal Jinn in Middle Eastern stories) as a representative of Satan.
Ifrit is known as The Betrayer and is opposed by the other Astrals who want to purge the darkness Ifrit brings forth from Eos. Ifrit does not appear on the painting of the prophecy on display at the Citadel.
For many Christians, Satan rebelled against God.
Noctis sacrificing himself to ascend to the “New World” might fit an Illuminati Sacrifice:
Noctis ascends the throne and gives his life to end the eternal night that has consumed Eos by channeling the power of the past kings and Crystal’s light.
Noctis ascends the throne. He calls the spirits of the Kings of Lucis that attack him one by one until Noctis’s soul is absorbed by the Ring of Lucii
We also know that Final Fantasy Versus XIII contained a lot of references to death…
