A legendary Warrior blessed by the light. Bearing sword and shield, he is skilled in all aspects of combat.—Dissidia Final Fantasy description
The Warrior of Light is the mysterious knight, holding a crystal. The prophecy foretells that he and his cohorts will save Princess Serah from the corrupted knight Garland. However, their main mission is to save the crystals. He starts the game as a fighter; when promoted, he becomes a Knight.
But according to Dissidia, he was a perfected manikin, created by Cid of the Lufaine from his memories. This would suggest he never made it to World A prior to the endless cycle of war. He officially arrives at World A after his trials in World B. However, consider that both World A and B take place in a time loop. The 2000 year time loop resets in World A. The endless cycle of war repeats in World B.
Garland informs the Warrior of Light that they remain in constant conflict. While Warrior of Light eventually breaks the endless cycle, it continues in an alternate timeline.
Yet due to Garland’s time loop in World A, it’s not as clear when Warrior of Light arrived to World B. Garland created World B while on World A when he manipulated time. The Warriors of Light fights Garland in this world before he creates the time loop. However:
Garland: “Chaos…if this is to be our final battle, there is something I must share with you. That this conflict, which has endlessly repeated itself, is according to the Great Will. And I am the one who has made this world the battleground for harmony and disorder. You had no memory, so I guided you in accordance to the Great Will’s wish.”
Chaos: “It was just as I thought… You were the beginning.”
Garland: “No, Chaos…For myself…you are the beginning. Before the Great Will led me to this realm, when I was on the edge of death, it was you who sent me two thousand years into the past. You are me… and I…am you.”
Was it possible that the Warrior of Light originated in World A, rather than World B?
