Why didn’t gamers simply hold Square Enix to making sure they could release the game on one disc? Of course, the developers at Square Enix say they couldn’t fit it all on one disc. But how much content can they add to Final Fantasy VII?
They know Final Fantasy VII’s been their cash cow for the past two decades. They know we’ve wanted a remake of Final Fantasy VII for the past decades. They’ve done focus groups; seen our reaction at the idea of the PC port. Then there’s reaction of the unveiling at E3.
We want it. They know we want it. We know they know we want it.
When they announced the Remake in parts, why didn’t we boycott Square Enix?
Why did we shrug and just fold?
Are fans powerless?
Maybe getting a One Disc movement is like herding cats?
Even if they could fit the Remake into one disc, we’d never see it.
We’re still too busy defending the idea of why it should be multiple episodes.
We’re pushovers. They release information, we go nuts. Now that they tell us it’ll be episodic, some of us feel let down.
Oh well, I’m sure it’ll be good.

Shrug
I don’t know, what do you think?
