Yuna is a Spiran singer, dancer, and summoner.
Born in Bevelle to a Yevonite father, Braska, and raised in Besaid Village, she traveled across Spira in a pilgrimage as a teen before signing with Summoner Records. Yuna’s studio album Eternal Calm became an international success, becoming the best-selling album by a teenage solo artist. Title tracks “Suteki da ne”, “real Emotion” and “1000 Words” broke international sales records. Yuna remains highest paid female musician in Final Fantasy history, with earnings of $58 million gil a year.
Yuna married Maester of Yevon Seymour at The Little White Wedding Chapel in Bevelle. Two annulled the marriage 55 hours later, following a petition to the court. The reason: Yuna “lacked understanding of her actions”.
Yuna opened the Lake Macalania/Thunder Plains (L’MTP) Video Music Awards concert with Lenne, performing “1000 Words” to express Shuyin’s hatred of war. Halfway through the performance, Lenne and Yuna shared a passionate kiss. The highly publicized incident remains a Sin on her career.
I don’t believe it. After everything Yuna did for us! Why can’t she just do what she wants to do now? Why?
Yuna’s publicized personal issues sent her career into hiatus. After shaving her head, she attacked a paparazzi’s Chocobo with her ultimate Celestial Weapons, the Nirvana. Yuna claimed that the situation happened because of a frightening encounter with the paparazzi, and a mistake on her part. She also claimed to search for her unsent boyfriend, after viewing his image in a treasure sphere she stole.
Yuna then found herself dancing uncontrollably as if overcome by someone else’s excitement. She attributes blame to her Garment. Her erratic behavior and hospitalizations continue despite her pilgrimage. She’s currently under a still ongoing guardianship with Kimahri, Lulu, and Wakka.
